Julie Davis Ratner practices primarily in the fields of Estate Planning and Probate & Trust administration. From families just beginning the estate planning process to older clients and family businesses, Julie offers informed, empathetic guidance through the preservation of assets for future generations and charitable giving. Julie counsels her clients on issues such as succession plans, last wills and testaments, living trusts, irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and living wills.

Julie also helps families who have lost loved ones navigate the process of Probate & Trust administration, collection and distribution of estate assets, preparation of accounts of executors and trustees, and many other aspects of estate administration. A small part of Julie’s practice focuses on Elder Law, which includes Conservatorships and Guardianships for Seniors, Veteran’s benefits, and long-term-care planning.

Julie is well known to her clients as a friend and counselor. With genuine care and concern, Julie helps clients identify their needs, care for their loved ones, and plan for the future. Multiple generations within the same family often ask Julie for advice and entrust her with their legal needs.

Prior to coming to Symons & Ratner, LLC, Julie worked as an attorney with Katz, Look and Onorato P.C., in Denver, as well as the founder and principal of Care Law Colorado, LLC, where she focused on estate planning needs of the elderly.

Julie holds a J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, as well as undergraduate degrees in Accounting and Communications from the University of Colorado. She is an accredited attorney with the Veterans Administration and is a member of the Denver Bar Association, the Colorado Bar Association, and the Women’s Estate Planning Council.
